ARES is committed to simplifying administrative procedures in higher education in order to facilitate:
- the processing of student applications for admission to higher education (e-paysage platform);
- the centralisation of enrolment and results for the medical school entrance exam and the French language proficiency exam;
- the automation of appeals against enrolment refusals to the CEPERI;
- the simplification of applications for scholarships and international cooperation projects;
- the dematerialisation of invoices;
- ...
But what is administrative simplification? These are pragmatic and concrete measures designed to facilitate relations between administrations (in this case, higher education institutions, the Ministry of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation or ARES itself) and its users in the broadest sense (the student community, scholarship applicants, project leaders, etc.) by:
- eliminating documents or procedures;
- dematerialising administrative procedures;
- harmonising the terms and conditions and deadlines for administrative procedures.
E-paysage
The e-paysage simplification platform is a tool of the French Community which currently:
- contains a database of higher education courses and qualifications in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation;
- centralises all higher education enrolments and graduates since 2014-2015;
- enables higher education institutions to automatically track scholarship applications
- to speed up the application of rights for scholarship students;
- enables the legal processing of student fraud.
And tomorrow? It will enable:
- centralised control of the regularity and financial viability of enrolments by government commissioners and delegates;
- consultation by higher education institutions of the qualifications required for admission to higher education (CESS and secondary school diplomas) by applicants for admission to higher education;
- automated monitoring of equivalence applications submitted by students with secondary school diplomas issued abroad.
